Mission West Virginia
Funding from the McDonough Foundation allowed our Bridge Mentorship Program to serve Parkersburg students in foster and kinship care. Without this funding, these students would not have been able to receive the educational and personal supports that they deserve. Because McDonough has allowed us to do this work, there are students who have graduated high school, pursued post-secondary plans, and have grown deeply as individuals. Youth in foster care deserve all of this and more and we are grateful that McDonough sees the value in supporting this population of young West Virginians.
