Application Process

The McDonough Foundation has an online grant application process.  Hard copy grant applications will no longer be accepted.  We do not have a deadline to apply. You can only apply for one grant each year.

Starting with the 2017 Grant Application we have added a Letter of Inquiry (LOI) which acts as a pre-application.  This LOI  has to be completed and accepted before a full Grant Application can be submitted.  Once we receive your LOI we will determine if your grant request meets our funding criteria and areas of emphasis.  We apologize for this additional step but feel it is vital in determining where our limited resources can make a positive impact in the areas we serve.  If your LOI is approved, you will be invited to complete a full Grant Application to be considered for funding.  Information entered on your LOI will copy over to your Grant Application to minimize any duplication of input.  Thank you for working with us and reaching out to be a partner with our Foundation to make a better place for everyone.

Before you can submit an LOI to apply for a grant online, you will need to create an account (if you don't already have an account).  Click here  to see a video on how to create an account for your organization.

After you have created your account, click here to view a video on how to apply for a grant (IF your LOI is approved and you are invited to apply for a grant).
